World Book Day ~ A Celebration of bedtime stories.

Tesco brought in some fruit for Nursery to taste. It was delicious.

We made a 'fire' and had toasted marshmallows!
Looking for signs of Spring.
We found lots of daffodils.
The sky was blue - nearly!
The daffodils smelled nice!
The trees and bushes had new buds.
We enjoyed looking for all the signs of Spring.
World Book Day
STEM Week in Nursery
Miss Winstanley helped us to make a giant giraffe!
We used 4 tubes for the legs.
We put them in the big box.
Then we put the neck and head on!
We had to paint the giraffe yellow and orange.
It was very messy!
Everybody was covered in paint!
We stuck spots on our giraffe.
Gerry the Giraffe is taller than all of us!
Building models with Duplo.
We drew a background road with trees and people.
We all made a model.
Then we put the models on the background.
The train track went along the middle.
Y3 came to visit us to look at our models.
We went to visit Y3.
They made hovercraft with balloons!
We loved the sunglass cases they had sewn.
Nursery are Jungle Explorers!
Some of our animals went missing!
We thought they might have run away to Big School.
So we went to look for them!
We put on our explorer hats.
We had binoculars and a telescope!
It was very tricky to carry our clipboards!
We went to Big School to begin our hunt.
First we went to Y2 and they gave us some clues.
We found our giraffe!
Then we went to Y3.
Next we spoke to Mr Bursnall. He had a monkey!
The leopard was on the shelf!
Our zebra was in the corridor.
Y3 gave us a 'roar' and we found the lion!
The elephant was hiding on the shelf!
Goldilocks and the three bears come to Nursery!
We had porridge for snack but it was too hot!
Somebody had made a mess in the 3 Bears cottage.
Oh no! Who could it be?
The chair had broken!
Who could it be? Who was asleep in Baby Bears bed?
It was Goldilocks! She is so naughty!
So we decided to help the 3 Bears.
We tidied up the cottage for the Bears.
All tidy now.
Sh! The Bears are asleep!

Here is a little taster of next weeks Christmas performance...
Nursery are having fun exploring the outdoor area!
We made a man with the planks and a tyre.
We made a big sun.
Year 3 and Mr Pow came to visit Nursery and performed The Owl and the Pussycat for us. They spoke very confidently and we loved it!
In Art Week we made 'feet carrots' and added the carrot tops with our fingers!
