FARE SHARE AT BROOK ST SCHOOL
Each Wednesday throughout term from around 2.30pm, Fare Share goods will be on offer to all parents.
The cost of a bag is £1 and you get a selection from a variety of produce such as tinned goods, fresh fruit/veg, pasta, bread, cereal, ready meals, desserts, biscuits, cakes, meats, juices, eggs, cheese etc. The value of the goods in the bag is usually around £10 to £30 or more. However, we don’t know from week to week what we will receive, but it is generally of good quality.
Fare Share is a charity aimed at relieving food poverty and reducing food waste. It does this by obtaining good quality surplus food from the food industry that would otherwise have gone to waste and distributing it around the country.
