The winners of the Avril Barker Good Citizenship Award for the first half of the Summer term are Jessica Campbell in Y1 and Kacey Cronshaw in Y4.
Avril Barker worked at Brook Street School for many years and made a huge contribution to the school community. After her sad death last year, her family decided to donate an award to the school in her memory. Staff nominate a pupil who has shown great citizenship skills and also embodies the value we learn about each half term.
This half term’s value is Confidence and both girls have developed into shining stars over the last few weeks. Jessica has become much more of a confident speaker, taking part in assemblies and performances while Kacey has astounded everyone in Y4 by tackling new challenges with maturity.
Congratulations!
