I am delighted to inform you that Brook Street Primary School will be able to offer wraparound care from September 2023. Firstly, I would like to thank those parents who have engaged in the consultation period, it has been your support and interest which has led to the viability of the club and we look forward to offering this provision to you and your family.
From Monday September 11th 2023 we will be offering an after-school club in order to support parents by extending the school day. We are offering spaces to those who need this service to children in Reception class to Year 6. Unfortunately due to staff: pupil ratios we are unable to offer this provision to nursery aged children.
At the moment, the club will run from the end of the school day until 5:45pm each night, Monday to Friday. There will be 26 spaces available each night and parents can book these in advance at the school office. As the club develops, we hope to put an online booking system in place. We normally charge £7.50 per session, but we are currently offering this club at a special price if £5 per session. All sessions should be paid for at the latest by 9am, each Friday in preparation for the coming week. Consequently, unpaid spaces can be allocated to others. We appreciate that sometimes you may need a place at short notice. If this is the case, you should contact school on 01228 558724 to check to see if there is availability and if there is and provided that you can pay for the club ahead of your child attending, we can accept this short notice booking.
If a session is not paid for in advance, your child will unfortunately not be able to stay and must be collected at the normal finishing time for their class.
On the last day of term (December, March & July) when we finish school at 1.30pm for the holiday, there will be no after school club on this day. However the After School Club will still be on offer when we finish for the half term holidays (October, February, May).
At the moment we are only able to accept cash. Once we have an online system in place, we will let you have further details.

Anything you book will need to be paid for in full, in cash at the school office before your child attends the club.
