  • Avril Barker Citizenship Award

    Wed 19 Jul 2017 Miss C Hill

This half term the school value has been 'Empathy' and the Avril Barker Award was presented to two worthy winners at the final Congratulations assembly of the year.

Ellie Emblin has proved that she is a mature, sensible and courageous girl who understands exactly what to do in every situation and responds with care and support for others at all times.

Mrs Watt has been a learning support assistant at Brook Street School for many years and has helped so many children in that time.  She understands instinctively how children need to be supported to make a contribution in their class and she is our 'go to' person when a calming and empathetic influence is required! Mrs Watt is leaving school at the end of this year and she will be greatly missed.
