  As children are spending an increased amount of time on their screens, please see below for 10 Apps parents/carers need to be aware of.

  

• Free School Meal Vouchers

  Mon 22 Feb 2021 Miss C Hill

  Free School Meal vouchers will be delivered by email during the week beginning Monday 22nd February 2021. These vouchers will cover the period from Monday 22nd February until Friday 5th March.

  These vouchers are worth £15 a week per eligible child.

• Screen Free Friday - 12th February

  We understand this half term has been difficult for everyone and children have spending more time than ever on screens, which isn’t very good for our eyes.

  With that in mind, we are having a screen-free day on Friday 12^th February with a range of activities set that don’t require a screen. With lockdown still in place over half term, feel free to use these activities over half term to keep your children busy.

   

  We do ask that photos are taken and uploaded to Purple Mash as we would love to see the creativity of the children. There is no requirement of taking part in this, and a selection of work will still be set on Purple Mash that children can do.

   

  We would like to thank you all and the children for working so hard during lockdown, it has been a pleasure to see them completing their work and completing it with pride.

  

• February Half-Term Free School Meal vouchers

  Schools will close as usual over February half-term and are not expected to remain open to vulnerable children and the children of critical workers during this week. .

   

  However, Cumbria County Council has again committed to ensuring every benefits-eligible FSM young person is able to access a FSM meal for the five days over the February half-term holiday.

  February Half-Term Monday 15th February 2021 - Friday 19th February 2021

  The vouchers will have a value of £15 (£3 per day) for each child and are fully funded by Cumbria County Council using Winter Grant monies.

  We will again be working with Wonde to assist in delivering the vouchers.

   

  Vouchers will be delivered by email on Friday 12th February 2021.

  The government will also continue to provide support for pupils eligible for benefits-related free school meals through the national voucher scheme or lunch parcels to those learning at home during term time next half-term.
